Task 7 – Speaking.-  With a partner, act out the roles below, based on the dialogue from Task 6. Then switch roles.

A: Hello, thanks for coming.

B: Yeah, no problem. What is happening?

A: Well, I’ve been thinking a lot about the new marketing campaign we have to do. I don’t know how could we innovate.

B: Mmmhh… We may need to explore a new market, I mean, we have to do the marketing to a new population section.

A: You’re right. Actually I’ve been researching and it shows that our product is a tend in kids section nowaday.

B: There you go! Now we have to do our marketing focused on that.

Task 8 – Writing.- Imagine that your company is developing a product. Choose a product and write an email to your manager with your marketing ideas (100-120 words). Make up a name for the employee. Talk about:

• Who your prospective consumers are
• What the best way to advertise to them is
• What distribution channels and outlets you would recommend

Hi, John. I send this e-mail in order to suggest you some ideas for the marketing campaign of our new product: iPhone 18... First of all, we need to make a tv comercial, in that way we can reach the baby boomer generations. Then we have to put that comercial into a Youtube add. That always works. Finally we have to make posts on Facebook and Instagram and pay for publicity. I hope you follow my suggestions.
